For more than half of his life, Bob Pearl has been a shoe man. Whether it's a shoe hook, a larrigan, or a shoe last, Bob can tell you what each of those words mean and how it helps improves the structure and fit of your shoe. Bob's expertise expands beyond the jargon of the shoe industry. Bob thinks big picture. He ponders, reads, discusses and acts based on the broader view of sustainability and the shoe industry. Bob is also a historian. He respects the story of the past—whether it's J.L. Coombs' story or the shoe and textile industry in Maine, Bob understand that you can move forward without an understanding of where you came from. Perhaps that's why Bob's favorite place in the world is not where he's visiting but where he's returning to—his homestate of Maine. When not working, Bob enjoys sports of all kind, including golf and fishing. He is also an avid (and quite talented) photographer.
